Background
Significant unrest continues across parts of the Middle East following the events of 7 October 2023, when Hamas launched a large-scale attack on Israeli towns. In response, Israel declared war and launched sustained air and ground operations in Gaza. More recently, tensions escalated further following Israeli strikes on Iranian facilities and subsequent missile attacks by Iran on multiple Israeli cities. Civilian casualties and widespread infrastructure damage have occurred across affected regions. The situation remains volatile and unpredictable.

We strongly encourage all customers to check official travel advice from the Australian Government's Smartraveller website before booking or travelling to this region. Some destinations may be rated “Do Not Travel”.
Important Policy Information
ReadySet Insurance policies do not provide cover for claims arising from acts of war or military conflict, as set out in General Exclusions of our Product Disclosure Statement (PDS):
“Your claim arises from any act of war, whether war is declared or not, or from any rebellion, revolution, insurrection or taking of power by the military.”
This means that if you choose to travel to an area affected by such events, you will not be covered for any losses related to them – even if the event worsens after your policy is purchased.
