From the skyscrapers of New York to the wide-open landscapes of the Grand Canyon, the United States offers an incredible variety of travel experiences. But before you go, it’s important to consider whether travel insurance could help protect you if things don’t go to plan.
At ReadySet, we keep travel insurance simple, smart, and human. Our USA travel insurance is designed to help with the big stuff - medical emergencies, cancellations, lost belongings - so you can focus on unforgettable moments, not unexpected costs.
Go with cover that's built for real-world adventures.
The United States is famous for its excitement - but also for its expensive healthcare system. A hospital visit, even for a minor injury, can cost thousands. Missed flights, stolen luggage, or weather disruptions can also quickly impact your travel budget.
ReadySet Travel Insurance helps protect your health, your bookings, and your trip investment - helping you travel with greater confidence across America.
Want to tailor your cover for your US trip? You can add:
*Important: If you plan to rent a vehicle in the USA, you must hold a valid Australian driver’s licence (or a valid international driving permit if required) and comply with all local road laws for cover to apply.
If you’re cruising within Australia:
The Cruise Pack provides additional benefits including Cabin Confinement, Missed Cruise Departure, Shore Excursion Cancellation, and more
Regardless of the policy type, we can’t cover travel to the following destinations:
Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus
ReadySet Insurance also does not cover travel to destinations that:
If you travel despite any government ban, mandatory quarantine or isolation order, you will not be covered.
Travel advisories and destination warnings are issued by the Australian Government at Smartraveller.gov.au. It is your responsibility to review the latest travel advice for your destinations before and during your trip.
Important: Cover is not available for travel to destinations or areas rated as ‘Do Not Travel’ at the time of departure, or where a specific government ban, quarantine order or isolation requirement applies. Some countries may not be wholly restricted but may have restricted regions — please check specific area warnings.
Cover is subject to the terms, conditions, limits, sub-limits, and exclusions outlined in the PDS.
If you're experiencing difficulty due to reasons such as disability, English language barriers, or require further support (like a trusted support person), we encourage you to contact us directly. We’ll explain how we can help and discuss support options tailored to your needs.
You can take unlimited trips within the 12-month period of an Annual Multi-Trip policy. Each trip must not exceed the maximum trip length selected when you bought your policy (this will be shown in your Policy Schedule).
